Our great aunt Fern passed away last night at the age of 101. She was the daughter of Missouri pioneers and had 17 siblings. She was a wonderful story teller, and we will miss her humor, her folksiness, and her wisdom. Her service will be tomorrow, and she will be buried in Oakland Cemetery, Moberly.
This is quite a big deal for those of us who are not used to seeing our spring flowers until early May–and here it is April and the crocus and daffodils are in bloom!
